02 Yun Ping Li

The collection 02 Yun Ping Li presents a selection of images that explore his identity through different life experiences shaped by gender, sexuality and heritage.

Yun Ping Li (Hubei, China, 1998) is a visual artist based in Madrid. His work explores identity through photography, crafting a creative narrative focused on self-representation. Through self-portraits and portraits, Yun Ping Li delves into the interplay between photography and performance, while also investigating the concepts of belonging and heritage in relation to the body and familial bonds.

He is the author of the project 回家 (huí jiā). In 2023, he presented his first solo exhibition, 回家 (huí jiā), at El Local (Madrid) and the gallery of Candy Darling bar (Barcelona). In 2024, his work will be featured in several group exhibitions, including "Solo si huele a tierra" at La Panera (Lleida), "Zhōngguó. El País del Centro" at the National Museum of Anthropology (Madrid), "Un cambio de Paradigma" at the Sala de Arte Joven (Madrid), and "Segunda versión" at the Cibrián gallery (Donostia). His work has been published in magazines such as Sinetheta, Balam, Exit, and Esto es un cuerpo, and is part of the Fundación Kutxa collection.
